Hark. I have been adviced to note some of the software, effect and vsti plugins I use. The DAW I use is FL Studio 11, although I am currently trying to understand the 12th Version, but it is kinda different.

I frequently use the provided Sytrus Synthesizer for most basslines and pads, although I create many pads by layering vocal choirs, string synthesizer and noises from outside my window, sample them and then stretch the hell out of it. Most of the high, tinkly and annoying sounds are created by using sytrus, too. Or they are recorded samples, to wich I enlarge later.

The main string synthesizers I use are brought to us by DSK music, they are for free and very handy. They aren't the best by far, but I appreciate the ordinary. 

One of my favourite VST plugin is "DSK Indian Dreamz" wich is not a string synthesizer but contains various instrument samples and synthesizers related to the indian culture, wich is great for adding exotic new sounds.

Now for the effects. 

The Image-Line Guitar effect plugin "Hardcore" is my main effect for most samples when it comes to reverb and distortion. The bulk of my spheric, aetheric sounds are created by looping them through various setups of "Hardcore".

The second often used effect is "Bionic Supa Delay", wich is great for click-synced delay, reverb and pitch manipulation and can be heard in every voice sample I use. Promised. You will never hear my real voice.

Some rather strange sounds are created by "Fruity Love Philter" wich comes with FL Studio. It has a XY control surface, making the recording of automations pretty handy.

Now for the samples. 

I am a blues guitarist, so my guitar samples are recorded by myself. Same goes for most other chordophones, even though I overestimate my own abilities, for example in playing the oud. 

There are various other instruments wich are hard to identify due to the heavy use of effects, most notably the didgeridoo, Piano, tin whistle or karimba. 

Unless otherwise noted, all vocal samples are recorded by myself and then alienated beyond all recognition. Same goes for the noises.
